  • Coverstich machine

I have acquired a coverstitch machine. Is there any application I could use it in soft furnishings.

      Hi Joan,
You could use it on unlined bed skirts, etc, so that you have a topstitch edge one side and the raw edge overlocked on the back. Also maybe on napkins? That's the only kind of application I can think of at the mo - I'm sure the others will have some ideas.

I'd never heard of a coverstitch machine, but it seems like it is used more in the fashion industry.
      Kind regards

it is the stitch you see on the hem of t-shirts. As this leaves stitching on the fabric face, which most of the time a custom product trys to elimate, it has limited uses. If this is an industrial one, it will be taking up a bit of space that IMO could be better used. Instead a blind hemmer would be more suitable for some edging.
