  • LIGHTING

Am finally moving out of the spare bedroom and moving my workroom into the double garage. We have to keep the frontage looking like a garage, but I am excited about the extra space.

My only real concern is lack of natural light. Can anyone suggest the best lighting to introduce into a windowless room?

    Thanks.
    Sue.

    Re: LIGHTING

There is some info on sewing room lighting here http://www.stitchinheaven.com/stitch...ewing_room.asp and here http://www.masterstech-home.com/The_...ghtingFAQ.html but they are not specific to curtain workrooms.

We just have double tube florescents (sp?) and lots of them. The only thing I don't like is the buzzing noise.
      Kind regards

Hi Sue, no tips on lighting I'm afraid but I just wanted to wish you well in your new workroom. You must be really excited! I't a great motivator having a whole new space to work in. I hope you'll be very happy there. x Kim

Just remember to come in and thaw out occasionally!!

          Hello Sue,

Good luck from me too. Lighting, my workroom only has a small window and I have florescents but my brother is keen for me to change to some special tubes that are better for close work. He says they make your eyes less tired?
