I have a metric one and use it all the time when making roman blinds, valances etc. anywhere that I need accurate, level parallel lines. Also useful when making piping as it has a 45 degree line marked to cut on the cross (also other angles for patchwork).Louise

They do stock them, they are located in the craft dept / card making and needlework area, they probably call them something different. They are made by Fiskars.
