  • Nylon Bonded thread

    Hi Guys,
i was just wandering what kind of thread you all use ? I use a nylon bonded one by coats barbour, they restrict you to placing a minimum order of £40, as times are hard i'm trying to save a bit here and there.
Any other suggestions of cheaper and strong thread would be appreciated
    TIA
    Gerry

I often use the cotton wrapped polyester from Empress Mills - you can buy a colour card for a few pounds which is really handy. They have a huge range of different types of thread and other haberdashery items.

Hi Philip, i bought some last week, even though i asked the seller if it was suitable for hand sewing , when it arrived it was far to thick so i have to resell it
          TIA

I use Merrick and Day's Hand Sewing Thread - have used it for years and I love it! If I need a colour I just use Gutermann but would hate M&D to stop their hand sewing thread as I don't use anything else and wouldn't know where to buy such good thread.
