Re: Which? best buy irons March 2016

Thank you Louise. I have used Philips cordless irons for years. No need to worry about the cord length or the cord dragging across the worktable.Economical too because it is only using power when it is on the base station. The only disadvantage is you must remember that you only have a few minutes of decent heat/steam before it has to be recharged. I never find this a problem because I don't iron the $h!t out of my work anyway.
Hope you are all enjoying a well earned break.

Re: Which? best buy irons March 2016

I seem to get through a lot of irons and have probably tried several on this list.
Just to say that the Bosch Sensor Steam is brilliant but so heavy on the steam that it tends to shrink the fabrics!
The other thing I find with steam irons that are very efficient, even when cleaned through regularly, is that they are more likely to deposit their contents when least expected!
I have just recently purchased the Tefal smartprotect after not using Tefal for years, so far this is going well. It is surprisingly good with creases although the iron never gets that hot. The only drawback I have noticed is that if some water does does come out of the iron, it takes longer to press out.

        Kind Regards
        Christine
