  • Wipe clean seat cushions

Any suggestions please for a good fabric for dining seat cushions. Fabric must be wipe clean ideally but looking for soft handle & nothing your legs stick to!

There is a great upholstery 'fabric' called Impala which is very easy clean and comes in a variety of colours - not cheap though. Impala

That fabric looks fab - what sort of 'not cheap' ballpark are we looking at Louise? Couldn't find anything on the site .....

How about using leather? Looks great in a dining room.

                Re: Wipe clean seat cushions

I have used Impala and I think its fanatastic. I have even made a bean bag out of it for my lounge - need child proof fabric now lol. If you need any let me know as I have an account with Martins upholstery. Think its usually about £45.00 per metre.
                Kindest Regards,

thanks for all your help. Impala looks fab but think its out of clients budget. Leather, maybe...dining room is a conservatory.

Just searching for this topic as a customer has asked for the same thing, and found some new fabrics that might fit the bill if anyone is looking....

Wemyss have Aquaclean where the fabric is called Byblos, and also a couple of collections with FibreGuard, you can find them using the 'Performance' option in their fabric search.

I have samples ordered of Byblos and Gabra, I hope they are reasonably soft as I need to make piped tie-on seat cushions for 8 chairs! I was pleased to find them as customer wants something with a texture, others I found were plain/suede/velvet.

Byblos had a backing which made it too stiff for what I had in mind.....customer went for Gabra which has texture and a 'random' pattern in the weave, it's sturdy but soft enough for shaped box cushions and to make piping.
