    Morning All,

Hope you are well. I am about to start making a headboard, however I thought I normally (haven't made one for a while) made it out of 15mm ply, however I can't seem to get it and have an option of 12mm or 18mm what would you say was best?

I want it to feel quality so am edging towards 18mm but not sure if its going to be to heavy???
    Kindest Regards,
    Karen

      Re: Headboards

What size headboard? I would have thought that a single or double would be okay in 12mm, but maybe 18mm for a king size - but I'm glad I dont have to move it around!
      Kind regards

        Re: Headboards

        Hi there,
last time I made one, it was out of 2cm thick mdf ( but that was a while ago) and it was cut out and shaped by a joiner so I only had to cover it, but I do think they look better thicker for a double bed. Kind Regards, Helen May

          Hi all,

Thanks for your replies. I have gone with the 18mm, I always think if its heavier it feels more quality! Its for a double but its being wall mounted so I don't think 12mm would have been strong enough. Have to get my muscles out for this one! Will post a pic when I am done.
          Kindest Regards,
          Karen
