I am replacing a clients pelmets and she wants them copying. They are flat, but in the centre and either side there is a running stitch running from the hem vertically for about 5" which gathers the fabric slightly and gives it a scalloped shape. She does not want it on ply wood, but the origionals were really floppy and unstable. Is there anything I can use to make it firm, but retain the softness and still sew through it to attach the trim?
