Question for Philip
I've watched this video closely many times, and there are still a few things I don't understand and hope you can explain.
You first do the tack down at the ends of the tube, plus the longitudinal middle basting stich. Got it. This long stitch line creates two "flaps" at the end (outside) of the sewn line.
1:42 "put the teeth on the ridge and sew the bottom"
Here, it appears you're sewing the side of the zipper nearest you (call it "side A"), and sewing it only onto the single layer "flap" of fabric.
3:40 In this section, however, you're sewing the zipper ("side B"?) while going through both layers of fabric (the "flap" plus the body of the tube), right?
Does this mean you sew "side A" of the zipper only to the flap on that side, but the other side ("side B") of the zipper through both flap and body, or do you sew the first side ("side A") once again (in order to go through both layers)?
I'm somehow assuming the latter is correct, but the video seems to leave out that step, so just wondering.
Thanks!
