  • I'm new to the forum... HELP!!!

    Hi All,
I'm Kevin (4 and been making curtains for several years; I completed a curtain making course a few years ago. My query? I'm in the middle of making 2 pairs of double width eyelet headed curtains. Till now, I've always used the eyelet tape and plastic rings BUT... recently acquired a proper eyelet press, (thanks to a very generous Mother in Law who I'm making these curtains for.) The press is fantastic but does anyone know if there is a formula for working out the distance between the eyelets, so that I can set the machine distance guage properly acccurately? I'd be really grateful for any foolproof ideas

    Hi Kevin

Welcome to the forum, and worry not, we have the answers for you.. A very useful calculator can be found here and you may find this info on eyelet presses useful. I don't use the jig with my press, I rather favour marking the my eyelets as shown here.

Someone (maybe Philip or perhaps Louise) posted this a while ago. Hope it helps!
