  • Pressing with Templates

Pressing with a cardboard template can save a lot of time. Cut a strip of thin cardboard approx. 20 - 30cm long by the depth you want to press. Cut it very slightly short of the required depth to allow for the thickness of the fabric when folded. Check the depth by trying it on a scrap of fabric and adjust if necessary.

To use, fold the fabric and have the raw edge level with top of the card, keeping the fold level with the bottom of the card. Press, overlapping the fold a little each time you move across the fabric.

Mark each template with the size and replace when they bend out of shape from too much steam.
