The trimming I simply sewed in place by hand at the end of it all. The last roman blind I made with a trimming at the bottom, i encased the trimming in a seam at the bottom, but when i finished it all, i wasn't totally happy with the end result. so as long as the gimp is colour co-ordinated (this one is on red ribbon) i don't think it hurts to just hand sew the trimming on the back (although this blind is for me, i can see there would be some potential customers out there for you people that wouldn't like that).
As for the fabric LSS, glad you like it, it's from Dunelm in Clough Road, Hull.

The blind looks fab, i know how to make these but have not gotten around to making one yet.
The fabric is lovely and the trim looks great too.
