Well done Esther, good use of beading, makes short length curtains more interest at the hem. Did you use eyelet tape or metal pressed? One thing to point out though.. always try to use an even number of eyelets in each curtain when making eyelet headings; reason for this being both ends of the curtain should return to the wall and window. Nicely dressed bedroom window - I have to make short curtains for my Son's room and I can't decide on the heading.
thanks phillip they are presses eyelets never used tape never realised about the even eyelets until they went up thats how the gallery is a really good idea because it is like a learning curve esther
Very nice and I like the idea of the bead trim. I would have made them a tad longer I think so that the fabric covered the painted frame of the window. I usually make apron length curtains 10-15cm below the sill.
hi karen and kathy thanks and i agree they are a wee bit short first time i made sill length i will know the next time i am learner at 36 years old this gallery great for learning and ideas
Hello Esther
Well done with your curtains. They look very nice I loved the idea of putting beads at the hem I have never seen that done before. I will certainly try and use that idea on something in the future. I agree with Karen about the length.
You should be very pleased with yourself.
Haven't you been the busy girl? Very pretty curtains indeed. I bet you're thrilled to bits.
What have you used to finish the top edge of the panel please? Like Penny says, I thing I will be pinching your idea of using the beading along the bottom of the curtains!
