  • MY LATEST JOB

    This is my latest job.

I wasn't going to put this on, because I was hoping to get some better pictures of it, but I'm eager to know what you all think.

I'm quite happy with the end result, except I wanted to make the tails longer but the customer didn't. I also think the ties could have done with some of the dark terracotta colour piped round them. The dodgy draught excluder round the door is not of my doing, honest

All opinions good or bad greatly appreciated, they will help me improve for the next time!

Bev they look wonderful, I can't see how you'd improve on them.. Give yourself a pat on the back, you deserve it! I love the design of the swags especially, the darker underswags and the trumpets... Great!

Wow Bev they are fantastic. Yes, perhaps the teracotta piping would have made the tiebacks stand out more, but I honestly wouldn't worry about that as the whole effect is marvellous. Well done!

                    Re: MY LATEST JOB

Thanks again for all your great comments.

In answer to your questions Esther, all the swags were made exactly the same size, but the two terracotta ones are fixed on a separate board underneath the main one making them look slightly deeper, which is how I planned it to look. The trumpets are very easy to make. I don't know how long they took me as I never timed myself.

I would have liked to interline them all but I wasn't confident enough to do so. Also, they are I'm afraid to say hung with pencil tape!
