It 'WILL' pull up better, once the cleat is on the wall and the strings are not wrapped up around the window fasten, promise!

Re: The Arched Window..... gentle arch thankfully!
Thank you so much Ursula - the fabric was the princely sum of £3.50 / m for upholstery fabric and, once interlined, was flippin' heavy. I ended up hanging it upside down from the weight bar pocket in order to stab stitch as I don't have a facility to hang arched blinds.....

Thank you Jane, I'm thrilled to be bookmarked! Does that mean I'm in (e)print?
The headrail was a little bit of a challenge. . . . in the end we used two lengths of 1/2" ply, sandwiched with glue and top fixed. It was great to bend to the arched shape, easy to staple my velcro to and (apart from jiggering up my shoulder/neck), excellent to screw my 9 screw eyes into.

I'll have to get my act together and learn how to make romans without stitching on roman blind tape and seeing the stiches on the front. All of you girls and Philip of course show the most amazing blinds. Just wish I was near to ye so I could book a weeks lessons.

Re: The Arched Window..... gentle arch thankfully!
Hi Natasha,
Thank you! The arch of the window is brick so it was easy to get a good fix into it. I haven't yet tackled screwing into pvc though I know it is possible. Perhaps someone on here knows about the do's and don't's of fixing into pvc.....?
