Curtains look fab, just wondered if you had bought some special kind of pegs do they not leave a mark on the fabric or are they not as tight as the normal shop ones.
The pegs are normal ones and so far they haven't left marks on any fabrick that I've used. I usually leave them on for a couple of hours, take them off and check them the following day. If I think the pleats need to be pegged again I will do so for another hour. I'm not sure if others peg their pleats but I find it holds the buckram to shape better. I've never interlined curtains (my next project) so I'm not sure if the pegs would hold the pleats if interlined, but as I've never interlined curtains I'm not sure if the interlining goes to the top of the curtain. I'll have lots of questions I'm sure when I get around to inerlining.
Hi Ursula
I usually stitch the pleats at the top by hand, which eliminates the need for pegs. I then press the pleats down with my fingers to make them look a little fatter, especially on lined only ones. I was interested to know if you catch them in at the top or leave them open. Your curtains do look lovely, you must be really pleased
