I love it, I have to admit that I nearly love it more than making the curtains / blinds etc. but I do love the fact that I can do a whole room including furniture if a client wants me to. Go for it Philip - it is very hard on the hands but they do get stronger in time.
      Kindest Regards,

Fantastic Work - Not something I would even contemplate. A pemet board would be my limit. I will stick to curtains.

Lovely work Karen - the headboard, although considered old fashioned by some these days, has a really modern twist to it by being in white. I love it. The chairs look better than much of the upholstery you buy in some of our 'Favourite' shops!

I don't do very much upholstery these days as my thumb joints hurt too much - old age creeping in. I'd like them to last a bit longer so don't aggravate them now by pulling hard as required for neat upholstery.

Your work is a joy to behold.

                Good work!
I take it you have an air stapler...if not u ought to invest in one...I would but don't hve the space & I don't think my neighbours would appreciate a compresser running all day either.
I am an upholstery seamstress to trade so whilst I was employed used to gets lots of opportunity to recover things. Have done a few chairs since then but really miss the air tools so now I mostly make curtains unless I get the joy of the odd loose cover
                Regards

                  Hi Karen
Your work is lovely well done!
I have been going to classes 3 hours a week for the last 2 and a half years and have a long way to go before I reach your standard.
My last piece was a deep buttoned Victorain nursing chair in velvet. It was a nightmare as the velvet marked very easily and I found that there is a special skill to deep buttoning that I found very difficult. However the overall result is good, but I seem to keep seeing bits that maybe I could have done better.
                  Lovely work!
                  Kindest Regards
