    Re: Double pleats

You have done a lovely job. But OMG all I can think of is it is LA fabric. And I won't go near it any more!

    Sue.

Just remembered - the first time I made up this fabric the lovely helpful member of staff CUT THE FABRIC INTO THREE EQUAL SIZES TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE CURTAIN MAKER - the patterns didn't match and she had a 5cm single hem and virtually no turn down at the top to make the fabric go round.

Shame of it is - lovely fabric and lovely design.

      Re: Double pleats

Not quite the same topic, but I have just done some for a friend.

Nice JL lady calculated quantities taking PR into account.......pr 1.5w final drop 110cms....gave my friend 3.30m lining and 3.90m fabric. OOOps did I say that it was a half drop? What was a mates rate job is a bit of a pest to say the least, and guess where she has gone for the fabric for the next ones???????? The other place, lets hope LA are better this time.

makes one want to pack it in, but I don't fancy the checkout at MY local Tescos.....too old, too grumpy, and don't fancy the uniform!!

            Re: Double pleats

You did a fantastic job on those Rosie, they look great =)

I collected fabric yesterday from a customer, she had purchased it from LA, she told the young assistant her measurements, who worked out how much fabric, customer got home, had a look and realised there wasnt enough so had to go back to get some more!!

Nightmare Sharon! Hope she got enough 2nd time around. But, she shouldn't have to go to all that trouble should she?

Thanks for the lovely feedback!!! Hope you're ok.

                          Thank You

More thank yous! Was very pleased with them. Yes, Mairi, they are interlined with 260g Dommett/Domette/Dommette (never quite sure how to spell that word?). I will not work with faux suede either. Not for all the tea in China....
