Re: london blinds - Swagged roman blinds
Aren't London Blinds those with an inverted pleat where the blind is pulled up? I have made several of these in the past and they do need dressing as the fullness needs to be folded neatly into swags. I usually stitch rings up the back about 10cm apart. Could it be something as simple as the rings not quite close enough together. I wouldn't want to re-make something if it just needs a bit of tweaking.
Poor you. We all seem to be having last minute problems. Hope they work out OK for you.
Sue.

Re: london blinds
Do you mean these? These blinds are made as you would a normal roman blind with excess fabric at the bottom creating a swag - The swag is fixed.
These are the largest pictures I have..
London blinds
I am about to do the calculations for a swagged roman just like the pics. of the one Philip shows here.
Should I be making the roman as normal and then hand sew on the lower swag section...... or....... should I include the allowance for the swag onto the bottom half fold.??
If it's the second option, where and how do you insert the bottom bar.?Kind regards
Cat

Re: london blinds - Swagged roman blinds
Hi Cat
I would suggest you include the extra fabric required for the swag and put a pocket above the swag for the weight bar, just so it sits behind the bottom fold out of view.
