There are a small number of companies supplying outdoor furnishing fabrics, this may increase if the popularity of outdoor 'rooms' continues.

Currently the following suppliers have outdoor collections:-

KA International - Agadir, Hyde Park and Mediteranneo KA International
Prestigious - Paradise Prestigious
Osbourne & Little - Zancudo and Bonaire Osbourne & Little

You can also use marine fabrics and outdoor canvas such as Kayospruce and canvas.

There is also a company called Pennine Outdoor in Bentham, lancashire. They do fabric for outdoor clothing, but some of it could be usefull - mould and mildew proof cotton, and waterproof/breathable fabrics that may be good for making protective covers for storing fabrics or curtains for transport.

Designers Guild also have some outdoor fabrics in their collection. Look for Tiana, Bokashi and Cabannes.

Sunbrella fabrics are used a lot in the awning business, though none of our suppliers appear to be using them, opting for dickson or giovarddi

This company stocks outdoor fabrics including a stripe from Sunbrella - Angelic Interiors.

Thanks for all the useful addresses.

Can anyone recommend a fabric for conservatory chairs.

Customer has a flowered covers at the moment and I think looking for similar - but of course the fabric is faded in the sun and rotted.

So I need to suggest something to him????

Kayospruce have updated their site and have a huge range of Sunbrella and other fabrics to buy online.

JAB now have 2 different ranges of outdoor fabric - Outdoor UV-Pro and Patio Outdoor, you can read about them here by choosing the Functional or Outdoor sections.

H&S fabrics (Hardy and Seamoor merged) have a plain outdoor fabric in a good range of colours. It is Teflon coated and quite soft to feel, it would be suitable for use in kitchen's and bathrooms too I think.

Called 'Outdor'.

I've used this both for curtians and for indoor and outdoor cushions. It's a lovely fabric to work with.
