Can anyone recommend any good books on colour + interior design. I have nearly completed an interior design course but would like a really good book on colour - I have seen one by John Pile.

Any other good style inspirational books on interiors. Many thanks

Wonder if either of the following two books by Kevin McCloud; "Choosing Colours" and "Colour Now"? Kevin McCloud is the presenter of "Grand Designs".
the only book I have seen by John Pile is very expensive. Think it was over £100 last time I saw it! Perhaps ebay might be worth a shot?

Hi Karen,
One of the best books for design and colour (muted) is called Maisons de ville, which I bought from Flamant interiors in Paris. They had other stores around Europe, and also exhibit at Decorex and other shows with their books. There is also an English version. It is quite expensive, but I think well worth it as its different and rather contemporary,good for Edinburgh....

Hi Karen,

I too have been searching for books on colour - i have bought Choosing Colours by Kevin McCloud, where it does explain colour and what it is best used in, i think myself it is a very good book if you are looking for something specific in colour for example - period houses, it would show you colours that are used in that period, it still hasn't satisfied me in what im looking for, if i come across any other books i would let you know.
