  • Bed Sash

Have to make a bed sash in silk. The fabric is plain, i will use the full width and put a border on in the same fabric. The thing is would it look alright just like that ,or would you quilt it.Customer has left it to me. I will use interlining or wadding to sandwich it. Dont want to spend to much time on it but want it to look right.

    Thanksyou

    Re: Bed Sash

Quilting in the ditch round the border seam should be enough to make it look right without too much work. And perhaps another line an inch in from the edge? I wouldn't do much more, silk slithers.

I interlock as you would a curtain, but not as loose and closer together - I also fold the side turnings and slip stitch, and add extra stab stitches here and there.

I might just stitch in the ditch and see what that looks like Nic. Philip i would have interlocked the fabrics together but i wouldnt have thought to stab stitch so thanks for that
