  • Thoughts?

When pinning pleats in place, I nearly always get pricked with a pin or 10.

Would it be possible to use a microtagger to 'tag' them in place prior to sewing?

What do you taggers think please?

      Re: Thoughts?

I use my tagging gun rather than pins when doing buckrams headings but I also use a pin at the top to mark the pleats and one at the base of the pleat. Remove maker pins as you sew.

Do you microtag instead of stitching the buckram heading then, or just as a point free pin that's removed after stitching?
May have to purchase one of these babies....

            Morning,

I don't use my microtagger for pleats but I do use it for alot of other things like attaching weights etc. So Bluebell if you are thinking of getting one I would definately recommend it.

Morning Jules, Long time no chat too hope you are well and keeping busy.
            Kindest Regards,

              Hi Karen and Lois,

Hope you're both fine and dandy!

As to microtagger, I was thinking of it instead of pins, to help when you stitch the pleats in place on the machine. I would remove them like I would pins...that's right isn't it Philip?

                Hi

Yes, I use them to hold the pleat in place while sewing and remove after. You can use the to secure the base of the pleat also, but this would depend on the fabric colour.
