  • Bad behaviour of fabrics!!!

    Hi everyone,
I've been working with some JAB silk this week and have had the most awful problems with it rolling up when you cut it. This job was for large cushions and pelmet inserts, so cut out and left to rest to see if that would make any difference. Unfortunately it didn't. Even after overlocking, it still wanted to roll. Managed to make them ok but just took twice as long. I have also had this problem with a Harlequin cotton/silk fabric that I had earlier this month. Have never experienced this before and wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. Both fabrics were rolled face in when they arrived.
    Kind regards Helen

I've had this in the past, mostly with man-made fibres - the cut edge just rolls up into cigar shapes. But never had it with a natural fibre fabric that I can recall.
    Kind regards
