  • Merrick & Day Encyclopedia of Curtains

I have a copy of this book bought a few years ago. It has a yellow cover with a photo of a table, vase of lilies and cream and gold swags and tails on a black pole.
I have seen a current copy of this book on Amazon, but it has a different cover photo on it. Does anyone know if it is the same content inside, or has it been updated?

Thanks for that - is it worth getting their Curtains, Blinds and Cushions book as well, or is that a duplication of the Encyclopedia?

Yes I agree with Philip, this is the best book for everyday use , but the Blinds, Curtains and Cushions book by M and D is good for the pictures!

No, I only know they are currently writing a new book - I did suggest they do a section on padded pelmets for bay windows though.

If you get the opportunity to make another suggestion, more on dressing square bays would be great. I've looked everywhere & have come up with very little.

                      Philip,
I am so pleased that you suggested a section on pelmets for bay windows. I had a huge one to do last year with internal angles and could,nt find information any where, even ended up e-mailing M and D for any advise ( without much success) . There is of course a thread on this website which would have been so helpful...Oh well, guess I will be ok next time.
                      Kind regards, Helen
