Hi there - I know this is a hot topic right now in the fashion industry but I've been thinking about it for some time in the context of my curtain making! Does anyone have any knowledge or recommendations of suppliers for our industry that provide sustainably produced fabrics, linings and interlinings? Blackout & FR linings/interlinings are particularly difficult because of the chemicals used but plain cottons & polyesters also have issues ... Has anyone come up with good alternatives? ... or know suppliers of attractive fabrics (and linings/interlinings) that are also conscientious about sustainability? ... Any suggestions and recommendations would be much appreciated!

There are quite a few suppliers out there - and some who have just one or two ranges that use sustainable or recycled materials.
Here are a few I found by searching for sustainable, ethical or recycled curtain fabric
