Does any one use the above & if so can u please tell me how to use the tape bottom clips...do they clip on above the bottom ring or is the tape threaded through bottom ring & then attached to clip, if so why is there a hook on it
They are the same as those sold by Price & Co.. You'll note on the M&D site they give details of the weight and length of blind these tracks are suitable for, take this into account when ordering.
Snap the hook off the bottom to make the bottom straight and sew them onto the rod pocket. Using a pair of pinchers of some description, snip the hook off the bottom as in the picture.. Left of the picture shows the original clip with hook, right side shows hook removed.
Slide the slider to the middle point - Thread the tape in from the top towards the back, bringing the tape through the bottom to the front, back up and out the top. Close slider tight.
Mairi I use the cord stoppers from Evans on these headrail kits - I've never worked out how to use the clips and I think the stoppers look better and are easier to adjust if need be!
I had a load of these in a M&D kit (not chain operated) and I didn't like them at all. The hooks are for the bottom tape of the blind and then are supposed to lock the cord in place. I found they were so thick and cumbersome and due to the length of them, prevented the lowest fold of the blind pulling up as far as it needed to go. They got in the way and wedged between the rod on the lowest but one fold and the lowest. There are much better things available.
