  • sewing velcro on the top

    when sewing the velcro on to the top of a roman i seem to loose a bit of width am i doing something wrong ?
    i use my machine for sewing on then flip it over and hand sew the bottom

    I had exactly the same problem... Now, I only sew velcro on the lining so it doesn't affect the face fabric.

      Does that mean the velcro doesn't go right to the edge of the blind over the fabric side hems? Or have you got a photo you could upload? (a picture being worth a thousand words and all that.......)

        Hi Louise,

        I will take a photo when I have the next one on my table but sadly back to rubbish ones on my phone. I learned to do this at **** and it works so well. The velcro is cut wider than the lining, then trimmed to the width of the finished blind and the ends hand stitched. This makes it the the same width as the finished blind.
