  • roman blind heading

Evening all, i have just made 2 roman blinds in a beautiful soft velvet fabric lined and interlined. The problem i have is the heading, because i dont want to machine through the FACE with velcro so i have stab stitched it on after machining the first side down but i think it looks a bit unsightly ,however if i didnt stab stitch it to hold in place the fabric seems too pull to the front and sag a bit revealing a white velcro line ,along the top also i wondered if anybody knows a secret to keeping the lining on the back of the blind looking nice and flat ,crisp and sharp sometimes mine goes a bit saggy !!! any ideas
    many thanks ali x

Next time, try a thin strip of buckram inside the bit you fold over and slip stitch into place. Seems to stop the 'roll'.
