How lovely is that. Would love to know the mechanics of how that works.....has anyone worked it out?

I can only imagine that the blind has been constructed normally, with the shaped sections sewn on afterwards, each section overlapping the previous one. I would not like to have been the one to calculate the rod pockets for this one, or work out where each piece should be sewn on!

Re: wow, unusual roman blind, layered

I think that the flat blind was made by joining the separate sections so that the shaped bottom pieces overlapped, and the rod pockets are positioned just above each of the shapes. The spacings would be worked out as usual, then each separate piece cut longer to overlap.
        Kind regards

A bit ornate for me, but you can buy the pattern for it here

It looks just like one of those saloon bar girls dresses from the cowboy films. Thats been unpicked and ironed out.
