  • How Much?

I have verbally quoted and just putting in writing a quote for a (sheer) unlined Roman Blind. I have quoted £75 for a blind 170cm wide x 105cm long. It will be with customers own fabric which I already have. Just as I was putting this in writing, it suddenly crossed my mind that this is a lot of money? I make unlined blinds so infrequently, that I just annually up the price a bit, in line with everything else, and not really give it a lot of thought. Do you think I have overpriced? I do not have to join the fabric as we have agreed to railroad. She gave me the fabric straight away, it is just me wondering if its too much. Although I do have to get special bits and pieces in for it, as it is sheer? What do you think?

    Cheers,
    Sue.

It sounds fine to me. A sheer fabric is a specialist fabric to handle anyway, so it takes longer/needs more skill! Attaching a lining is a small part of making a roman.
    Kind regards

Sounds fine to me too. Even without joins, being a sheer fabric, it's going to be tricky to make. The client must have been happy with the verbal quote otherwise she wouldn't have given you the fabric.......so why reduce your price?
