  • Roman Blind Ripples

    Hi all,
I'm a home sewer making roman blinds for our new home. The windows are pretty big so the blinds need to be up to three metres wide.
The problem I'm having is when the blinds are down. I am getting ripples where the fabric seems to be falling off-grain or twisted somehow.
I'd be eternally grateful if anyone can give me some ideas about where I'm going wrong. I'm beginning to regret starting this project!
I can't seem to attach a photo I'm afraid. I hope I've described the problem accurately enough.
    All the best,
    Summer

    Hi Summer

With blinds that large it could be that the fabric is not 'totally' flat and straight as you attach the lining and make up the blind. Where are you working - somewhere that you can get the fabric laid out really 'true' and flat?

Large blinds are a challenge for anyone......
