  • dummy romans

    Hiya,
I have made 2 roman blinds, thing is that they are to be faux so customer wants to just velcro them onto a batten, no messing. how do i fix the last fold? I tried attaching cord to pockets then sewing blind cord into the velcro but its hit and miss, some just come out because the stitching hasnt caught.....

How do you make dummy romans?
    Thanks
Sharon who feels like a dummy......

    Re: dummy romans

How about sewing a ring just under the velcro where the screw eye or cord guide would normally go and then you can knot a loop of cord through everything while the blind is on the table in front of you?

I think I've done this in the past, and as long as you get the loops of cord the same size, it should hang neatly.

Hope this helps, I loathe mock Romans - far easier to make the real thing!
