  • Sliding panel thickness

I've got a slightly unusual window to quote for and thought a sliding panel system could work. But they need to be blackout. So my question is - would they be too thick ie would the panels clash togetherI lined them with bonded blackout interlining instead of standard lining? Thanks Diana

    Re: Sliding panel thickness

Have you got a system in mind? The kind where you have a track with channels in and velcro 'gliders' to attach the panels might have slightly less clearance between them than the sort with hangers which slide across a curtain pole. Evans and Silent Gliss do the first kind (and others I'm sure) while Hallis supply the hangers to go on their poles or others of the right diameter.

You can also get systems where blackout roller blind type fabric panels hang instead of fabric, but that might not be the look you need.

Thanks Louise. Yes I was thinking of the Evans system. Haven't seen the Hallis option so will take a look.
