  • Zip back cushion.

Sorry folks, new to the site and going to ask about zips - I'll be popular! My customer has asked for a zip in the back of Harris Tweed cushions backed with velvet. I want to put them under a flap but I just seem to struggle with how to do it efficiently. I look at it and it's easy enough but can someone tell me/show me the professsional way of doing it - PLEASE!

    Thanks in advance,
    Sunnybunny

      Re: Zip back cushion.

Really helpful video. Any chance you could post a close up photo of the zip to show the stitching position vs the zip & the opening in more detail - it's tricky to see properly as it's at the back of the screen in the film.

      Thanks
      Jane

Thanks so much Schuby - you're a gem! I was going to put a flap over the whole zip but your way looks much neater!

What a nice man you are Pip!

Gosh you have no idea how easier it is to understand with a video rather than a book. I'm a visual learner, I drive myself mad when reading instructions ( and maps)
Goodness I wish I had known about you and your video methods years ago! I think this is going to be such a great help to many members. So a big thank you from me!

So,,,,, maybe the next one could be for a bolster cushion Go on,,, you know you want to Pretty please?????

[email protected] they designed SATNAVS for girls... Maps are for men!

Shaped roman coming soon and I'm working on better lighting.

                  and you are so right

Its getting the zip in the bolster cushions I REALLY struggle with as I think many do ( hopefully its not just me!) so a tutorial on inserting a zip into a bolster cushion would be great.

                  Thanks Pip!

                        Re: Zip back cushion.

Sorry to disagree (slightly) - maps and SATNAVs appear to both be things invented for my husband to ignore on long journeys. Thought getting a SATNAV would make it easier but now he just ignores 'her' instead of changing route and forcing me to struggle to keep up on the map! Personally I think he just likes the way she gets more and more strict-sounding each time she repeats herself......

                          Hi Philip

Thank you for the video you make it so easy to follow. I am with Tam I need to be shown, reading from a book can be a nightmare for me sometimes and it is usualy what seems like the simple things. Pretty please on the bolster xxxxx
