  • Scatter cushions and FR

(advice from Wendy Shorter to a question about scatter cushions)

A scatter cushion is defined as no bigger than 60x60cm. If it forms part of the chair/sofa then both filling, pads and fabrics must comply. If it's a separate decorative cushion then just the filling pad must comply

So the cushions must be sold with the chair or sofa to constitute "forming part" ? I must say I thought a 'scatter' cushion was a much smaller size, say, up to 30cms square.

I read the ‘forming part ‘ to mean the kind of sofa where large scatter cushions are used instead of boxed back cushions????

What an interesting question. I have been making and are making cushions either 15 x 15 " or 18 x 18 " and have nether thought about FR. To me a cushion is a cushion
