  • Painting your own poles

Does anybody have any experience of this? My customer wants a specific colour and rather than pay the astronomical amount to get one supplied I wondered about doing it myself. The poles are wood the rings are metal I think. Surely if I apply wax or silicone to the top of the pole it shouldn't be a problem .....? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated

I've not done it for a paying customer...only once for myself. I would think a wax or similar over the paint would be needed to help prevent the rings wearing it away over time.....

Thanks Louise. I've actually got a contact who resprays our many cars!! (We've got 5 kids who all drive - but not always well unfortunately!!) I'm going to get him to spray them for me cos he'll get a really good finish - I'll post an update as to how they work and what I need to do to get them working properly!
