  • Continuous Semi Circle Metropole in a Bay!

    Hello all!

I'm presently quoting someone for an uncorded continuous semi circle Metropole for a 6 panel bay window. The semi circle is significantly less expensive than a pole with 5 internal bends, which is essentially why the client would like to go for it. The curtains will be sill length and the sill has the joins and bends between the window panels. Does anyone have experience of using a continuous semi circle pole with this type of bay? Will it look odd with the sill (which would jut out a little beyond the curtain all the way round), or would it not matter?

I've attached a rather poor picture to clarify a little.

Any help would be sooo appreciated!

    Hi Maria

I've done exactly this before - it looks fine and will follow the bend of the radiator. I wouldn't have 5 internal bends.

      Continuous radius works well.
Just check where you are going to attach the brackets to the window frame.

I have done corded semi circle metropole and i have to say i wasnt very impressed with the way they bent the semi circle,,A bit trucky to measure as well.
Need to be very careful when measuring.

If you look at Evans Forest tracks they do a similar version to metropole at a much cheaper price. I haven't used a bay one myself but the other
Forest tracks are excellent and all better value than SG

Maria, the photo shows you that a semi circular pole won't look silly..... the sill and rad look curved!
