  • Eyelet horizontal pattern repeat

Hello everyone. I’m new but pleased to be part of this site. I’m loosing so much fabric making eyelet curtains with the seams and horizontal pattern repeat. For a two metre curtain pole, how many folds would you say are needed each side?

    Thanks

Ellie, generally there's 8 eyelets per width giving 4 forward folds, If you've a 2 width curtain that means 16 eyelets giving 8 folds, but if you're finding the width of each curtain abit narrow you can alter the number of eyelets to suit the width. Just remember it has to be an even number and not too close a spacing.

Hi Ellie - what fullness are you using when you work out how many widths of fabric to use for your curtains? For eyelets I usually start with 2x fullness so for a 2m pole this would mean starting with 2 widths per curtain.
