  • Applying braid to pleated heading

I have been asked to make some cartridge pleated curtains with braid running across them just below the base of the pleats. Out of necessity, the panels will be assembled before the braid is available (!).

Opinions please as to whether I should apply the braid to just the face of each curtain panel before making the pleats, or carry it over to the rear of the curtain to finish under the seam where the lining is attached to the fabric.

I would take the braid round to the back and under the lining. You should be able to leave a gap to tuck it into.
    Kind regards

Agree, it will make it much tidier and, dare I say it, much more professional looking.
