Give them a call as a prospective customer & ask for a quotes for all the different options (headings, handmade, machine made, etc) Have one of their fabrics in mind so you know the £/m. Get them to confirm how much fabric you'll need, how much lining, etc. Then you can deduct the fabric & lining costs from what they quote & you can work out the price for making up. Make sure you don't sound too knowlegable and they're usually really helpful!
Hi,
I decided to take a trip down to high street ken, Petre Jones, luckily a friend that I used to work with at Roman Blind work shop was working there so she gave me prices on every scenario so that was a good day
Hi,
for a lined roman blind hand finnished, no machining,their making charge is £159.00, size 120cm w x 113cm d
and for a lined interlined hand finnished pinch pleat curtain they charge £67.00 per width based on 196cm w track size x 200cm d
Just out of interest, tricia tucker roman blinds charge £150 for the same size, fabric and lining extra, and romansdirect, picking at random a fabric, charge £180.92. Don't know what the finish is like though. The TT site is handy as you can just pop in your measurements and it gives a quote. Helps compare with ones own prices??????????
Don't know about curtains.
