  • Which interlining

Has anyone any thoughts on the different interlinings?

I'm about to make a pair of 1\1/2 width curtains in LA silk fabric. The heading is going to be 2" tape set 3" down from the top. I don't know if I should use sarill or the cotton interlining.

    Re: Which interlining

Penny and I chatted a bit about this on Saturday. She hung some lovely silk curtains on Friday but wishes she'd gone for 410g bump for the lush plump look it gives. My concern would be weight. If your fixings are strong enough go with the 410g bump, if not look at the sarill that gives the equivalent thickness which would be lighter. I have learned that silk seems to dislike any interlining so don't suppose sarill is any different from bump though people say natural with natural....

      Hi ,
Personally I would go for the 410gm interlining, It always looks great with silk.

If you don't want the heavy look I find domette the best, it always hangs beautifully with silk
