Can anyone recommend a good blackout lining?

Don't usually use large amounts but have bedrooms to do and the customer wants blackout in all, but I want to able to drape.....not that horrid hard stuff.
Was looking at the Outblack one but am open to suggestions.

    Thanks, Enid

    Re: blackout lining

I recently bought a roll of the A32 supersoft from Evans Textiles and was very pleased with it - softer and more flexible than the M&D blackout. Had to use it with interlined silk and it worked very well. It comes in cream (which is very cream - not as light as M&D's ivory) & white.

      Re: blackout lining

I use Edmund Bell's Outblack and am thrilled with it.

Another very smart curtain maker I know well also uses this product.

If you would like me to send you a piece to 'feel' just pm me your address and I'll pop some in the post. Mine is Ivory though it comes in white and cream too.

I use both of the above (depending on who I'm ordering from at the time) they are both very acceptable and drape pretty well for blackout lining.

Also happy to post you a sample if you'd like to compare the two Enid - just let me know.
