  • Pin Hooks

    Hi

I'm just hanging my curtains and would you put a pin hook in the leading edge 'edge' or just on the 1st pleat??

    Many thanks

I put a pin hook on each end of my curtains not just the pleats. This gives a bit more support.

      Thanks Mercury

Done that - looking good - few tweaks and 1st curtains complete.

        Re: Pin Hooks

Hi Joan, I put a pin hook about 2-3cm back from each leading edge, to allow them to overlap.

        Cheers

          Hi Sue

That's probably why mine are not hanging properly I will adjust.

          Many thanks

            Re: Pin Hooks

A tip I picked up on this forum was to insert the fusible buckram up to the leading edge/return and then fold it back on itself, and then back again. This way the flat edges are very stiff, as there are three layers, and if you do need to insert a pin hook into the flat bit of the curtain, it is between the layers of buckram, not just sitting behind the face fabric, where it could cause damage.

            Sue.
