  • yacht curtains

I have been asked to make some curtains for a yacht. I will use indoor outdoor fabric but am wondering if there is a special lining I could use which would be fine with damp? has anyone come across one?

You can get Teflon coated lining that resists mildew and stains, M&D sell it but not sure where they source it from

Hallis Hudson stocks teflon coated lining as does Edmund Bell.

I found it at hallis. Thank you so much both. I don't suppose you know a cheaper end teflon coated fabric which would work for curtains. I have to find a plain royal blue. I have lots of Thibaut samples but feel it may be too expensive.

It might be worth asking Edmund bell if they can do anything- they supply contract fabrics and can put different finishes on base fabrics. Almost certainly cheaper than Thibaut!

I had a mailing from Glover Bros today with news of their range of water repellent fabrics- they have quite a range at reasonable prices.
Hope you manage to find something suitable.
